Lyon Street

Lyon Street Halls is usually for our students aged 20 years and over.  It has 61 flats that are either 1, 2 or 4 bedrooms.  The shower room and kitchen are shared in each flat.  The flats are mixed and single sex.
This hall is approximately 1 mile from the main University campus, only a 10-15 minute walk from the main campus onBell Street.  There is free on street parking.

The lease for Lyon Street is a set 38 weeks or a set 51 weeks.

What you will need to bring

We will provide the following in all flats:

• Iron
• Ironing board
• Vacuum cleaner
• Pots and pans

Items you will need to bring:

• Duvet, pillow, mattress cover and bed sheets
• If you don’t want to carry your bulky duvet, pillow and mattress cover with you buy a new set from our online shop
• Plates and cutlery
• Towels
• Cooking utensils, e.g. spatulas, wooden spoons.
• Cleaning materials
• Toilet rolls
• Clothes hangers 

If you don’t want to carry too much with you when you first arrive you will be able buy these items in the city centre where there is a vast amount of shops to choose from.  Another idea could be to wait and have a flat meeting when you arrive and make arrangements with each other to all pay a small amount and go shopping for the items together.
