Social and Health Sciences

Welcome to a community of like-minded individuals

clearingimages The School of Social and Health Sciences has a strong reputation in the design and delivery of innovative and dynamic programmes that reflect today's employment needs.

The School is an exciting place to be. Our events are up to the minute, with first class relevant speakers for our students and staff. Some of the past talks include Planning to Win by Frank Hadden, Winning the Games by Louise Martin CBE, Living Dangerously by Sir Ranulph Fiennes, and Learning from Winners by Scotland's international rugby star Gregor Townsend.

We offer a broad range of programmes and have introduced many new courses in our division of Sport and Exercise Sciences.

Within the School there are four specialised divisions. View these pages to find out more about our courses, our staff and what past students have said about us:

We intend to challenge you, and to prepare you for employment through a skills-based learning experience. We will introduce you to an environment that facilitates the generation, development, and exchange of ideas through lively interaction between staff and students. We have close links with employers in industry, the professions and local colleges. Our aim is to provide you with the skills employers are looking for - and to have some fun along the way!
