Guidance

The Career Development Centre is there to help with your career decision-making at any stage of your course and can also give you advice on changing your course or choosing the best modules. You can choose to have an individual discussion with a Careers Adviser or participate in one of the numerous practical workshops on offer. To see an adviser you can attend one of the drop-in sessions on offer each week or arrange a specific appointment.

Information

To help you in your career planning, our Career Development Centre holds a comprehensive range of material and resources for you to use, including: employer recruitment information, occupational information, information on postgraduate study, working abroad, and voluntary and vacation work. The Career Development Centre also has a range of online and web-based resources, including computer assisted guidance to aid your career decision-making.

Employer activities

Many employers notify the Career Development Centre of vacancies and other opportunities, and these are advertised on the Careers website via the vacancies link. Throughout the academic year, we organise presentations and workshops from employers and external organisations. These are also advertised on our website, so it is worth visiting regularly or you might miss out.
