Summon Madness

Synopsis

The premise of this project is to build a card game - that would normally be played in person - but can instead be digitised and copied in such a way that a system allows the current game status to be input and then updated from one platform (in person), to another (online). The game itself is about playing pairs of cards together to summon monsters. The transfer of analogue to digital will be done with QR codes, formed by the combined cards.

Credits

'Summon Madness' is a 2023 Digital Graduate Show project by Connor Creighton, a Games Design and Production student at Abertay University.

Project Motivation

Most of my friends live across the world, in Australia. Because of this, I wanted to build a game that allows me to join in on their game nights, even though I can't physically attend.
