'The Botanist's Digest' - Evoking emotions through layout design and typography

Synopsis

My vision for this project was to use a typography and photography-based magazine named 'The Botanist's Digest' to raise awareness of the physical or mental health benefits of having houseplants in your workspace and home. This evolved into exploring how graphic design can communicate different emotions, and how I can communicate a sense of calmness and serenity through my layouts. The end product is the first issue of this magazine, with front and back covers and 38 pages of content featuring photography and illustrations throughout. I also produced the covers for future issues so that I could create mock-up images and ads for future editions.
