2021 Summer Graduation

The warmest of welcomes to your online Graduation celebration! We hope you’re managing to share this special occasion alongside family, friends and classmates either in person or online.

While we know this isn’t the send-off you were hoping for, nothing can detract from the incredible achievements you’ve made in getting to this point – we are exceptionally proud of you! Graduation, be it virtual or face to face, is a time to reflect on the years of hard work you’ve put into your studies, the journey you’ve made personally and the commitment you’ve made professionally. It’s a time to put your pen down, walk away from your computer or clean up your workbench for a moment and celebrate all things you.

So, what's in store for you tonight?  In addition to hearing your name read out by the Principal (if you consented), we have congratulatory messages from....

  • Professor Alice Brown, University Chancellor

  • Professor Nigel Seaton, Former Principal and Vice-Chancellor

  • The Deans of each academic School

  • And staff from across the University

So, without further ado… let’s kick off the celebrations! Congratulations on this significant milestone, and we wish you the very best for your future careers.

Cheers to the Class of 2021… and welcome to the Abertay Alumni Network!

How will I receive my Degree Certificate?

With no physical graduation ceremony taking place, a paper version of your Degree Certificate will be posted out to your home address by mid-August.

Before this time, you can access a digital version of your Degree Certificate and your Higher Education Achievement Report (HEAR – this contains data from your academic transcript) via the GradIntel portal. To access the portal, please use the email address that you registered to graduate with.

Both documents should be fully up-to-date and accessible by mid-July. If you’re looking to secure work or further education and need to evidence these documents, you can send your prospective employer / education institution a secure link to view these electronically.

If you have any problems logging in to GradIntel, please contact the portal directly.

Will I receive an academic transcript with my Degree Certificate in the post?

No. We no longer print academic transcripts for graduating students however you can access these details via the GradIntel portal.

Is it possible to collect my Degree Certificate from campus?

Given the restrictions that remain in place due to the pandemic, it is not possible to collect your Degree Certificate from campus.

When will a physical graduation ceremony take place?

Please be assured that the University remains committed to staging ceremonies for all those who have graduated during the pandemic and will stay in touch in the coming months with updates on what might be possible within national restrictions.

In the meantime, our Graduation team is on hand to help with any queries you may have and can be reached via graduationevents@abertay.ac.uk.

If you gave consent for us to contact you about a future physical graduation ceremony, we’ll use the contact details you provided during graduation registration to reach out to you.
