Abertay renews partnership with The Northwood Charitable Trust

Abertay University is to benefit from a renewed partnership with The Northwood Charitable Trust which will support a range of important teaching, research and enterprise projects across the next three years.

The two institutions have been successfully working together for many years, benefitting from sharing a number of important goals, including advancing educational attainment and supporting the community.

We value the vital role that Abertay plays in challenging social and educational disadvantage and are pleased to be supporting work that will directly benefit the local community - Director of The Northwood Charitable Trust, Blair Thomson

The Northwood Charitable Trust is the University’s largest philanthropic donor and going forward will support Abertay with £150,000 per year.

Abertay University Principal, Professor Nigel Seaton, said: “This continuing partnership is very important to Abertay and the funding received will allow us to do great things for our students.

“It’s rare to have such a closely aligned sense of shared endeavour in a partnership and I have no doubt that this collaboration will continue to make a positive impact in Dundee and beyond.”

Director of The Northwood Charitable Trust, Blair Thomson said: “We have been a proud supporter of Abertay University for many years and are delighted to be renewing this relationship.
