Foreword from Principal & Vice-Chancellor, Professor Liz Bacon
The death of Dr Andy Samuel has come as a significant shock to the University community.
Andy was a well-known, much loved, and hugely respected member of the academic community here, and his passing is felt deeply by our colleagues, friends, current students and alumni.
His work to shape the sociology curriculum and his important research into land reform and many other areas demonstrated his professionalism and a passion for his subject - something that I know came across in each of his lectures.
Andy will be greatly missed at Abertay and the thoughts of the community here remain with his family at this tragic time. I would invite anyone who knew him to leave a message of condolence and remembrance below.
