Many universities offer summer schools where you can learn more about a particular subject as well as experience a new culture and visit exciting new places. The opportunities are listed below:
German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD)
The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) is the world’s largest funding organisation for the international exchange of students, researchers, and academics.
RISE Germany: RISE stands for Research Internships in Science and Engineering. A unique opportunity for undergraduate students from British and Irish universities to complete a summer research internship of 12 weeks (minimum 10 weeks) at top German universities and research institutions. All RISE scholarship holders are supported with a DAAD stipend to cover living expenses.
German Language and Culture Summer Courses: This programme provides scholarships to attend a broad range of three- to four-week summer courses at German universities.
DAAD Masters' Study Scholarships: Scholarships for highly qualified (under-)graduates of all academic disciplines for a full Masters’ degree programme at any German university, university of applied sciences, music academy or art college. The application deadlines are in autumn for a funding period for the next academic year.
PhD Students and Postdocs: Find lots of information about where you can conduct research and work in Germany, as well as the various opportunities science and research can offer in Germany.

Codeshare Summer School 2024
Codeshare Teaching and Learning Summer School 2024: Join the Codeshare Teaching and Learning Summer School 2024 at Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences for an innovative and exciting chance to learn and grow with international students from around the world. Inspired by the concept of code sharing—where different airlines jointly offer a scheduled flight—this program features cross-university courses. These project courses facilitate joint learning and cultural exchange simultaneously. In this virtually created global learning environment, students can enhance their intercultural communication skills, which are essential in our continuously globalising world.
